Mindstorms NXT-G Programming Blocks
Here are the sensor blocks that you need in order to use the HiTechnic sensors with the LEGO Mindstorms software. These will work with Mindstorms NXT software versions 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0. For the 1.0 LEGO software, you will first need to download and install Dynamic Block Update. You can find Dynamic Block Update on this LEGO site: LEGO Education - Software Updates
Instructions:- Create a folder on your Desktop called "NXT-G Blocks".
- Download the NXT-G blocks that you need for your sensors. Note: entering your email address is optional.
- For each .zip file that you download, expand and copy the folder that you find inside and place it in the "NXT-G Blocks" folder.
- From the LEGO Mindstorms software, select the Block Import/Export Wizard from the Tools menu.
- Click on Browse, select the "NXT-G Blocks" folder on the Desktop.
- In the listbox, select the blocks that you want to import.
- Click Import
You will now find the Sensor blocks that you imported on the Advanced Palette. If you need help using a block, put the block in the program and then hover the mouse over the block for a second or two. You will now see a brief summary about the sensor in the lower right corner of the LEGO Mindstorms window. Click on "More help >" to see the full help file for the sensor.
HiTechnic Enhanced IRSeekerV2 Block

HiTechnic Limit Number

HiTechnic Acceleration Sensor Block for Mindstorms NXT Software
The Acceleration Sensor Block adds support for the Acceleration Sensor features to the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Software. This block provides features enabling access to the x axis, y axis and z axis to measure and monitor acceleration and tilt.
New with version 2.0: This block adds support for the HiTechnic Sensor Multiplexer as well as data logging with the LEGO Mindstorms 2.0 Education software.

HiTechnic Barometer Block for Mindstorms NXT Software
The Barometer blocks adds support for the HiTechnic Barometric Sensor to the LEGO Mindstorms NXT-G Programming language. The block lets you read pressure, temperature, and altitude (calculated based on pressure). The block supports both Imperial units (inHg, F, ft) as well as Metric units (hPa, C, m). HiTechnic IRLink RCX Get Message

HiTechnic SuperPro Sensor Block
This is an updated version of the SuperPro block that is part of the Experimenter's Kit. This block adds support for datalogging the analog 0 input when used with the LEGO Mindstorms Education Edition software. HiTechnic Angle Sensor Block for Mindstorms NXT Software
The Angle Sensor Block adds support for this sensor to the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Software. With this block you have access to the 0-359 degree angle, the accumulated angle, and RPM. You can also reset the accumulated angle and calibrate the 0-359 degree 0 position. This block can be used with the HiTechnic Sensor Multiplexer.
New with version 1.1: This block supports data logging the angle with the LEGO Mindstorms 2.0 Education software.

HiTechnic Compass Sensor Block for Mindstorms NXT Software
The Compass Sensor Block adds support for all Compass Sensor features to the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Software. This block gives access to features enabling Compass calibration, target heading and in/out of range and others.
New with version 2.1: Fixes a bug preventing entering Calibration mode. You can now tell if calibration succeeded or failed by examining the absolute heading after calibration. HiTechnic Power Functions Single IRLink Sensor Block for Mindstorms NXT Software
The Power Functions Single Output IRLink Sensor Block allows full speed and direction control for a Power Functions motor with the IRLink. This block provides features enabling the NXT program to control PF motor speed, direction and brake or coast.
Note:This block sends a PF command that is not subject to timeout by the PF controller. Once the motor is started, it will keep running until another command is sent to stop it.

HiTechnic Motor PID Block
This block implements a PID controller to control an NXT motor to power it toward a specified Set Point position. The block can be used either in a loop, where each time through the loop it will update the power, or it can be used stand-alone with the Wait for Completion option set.
